What is Pneumonia Vaccine? The pneumococcal vaccine is an important landmark in medical history. Currently, with the high prevalence of multiple antibiotic resistant strains and the appreciable morbidity and mortality associated with invasive infections vaccination for pneumonia is recommended for patients at risk.
