What is Feeding Tube?
In order to maintain the nutrient and calorie intake of patients with neurological diseases, a feeding tube, is inserted directly into the stomach through a surgical opening in the abdomen. This is known as a percutaenous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) or radiologically inserted gastrostomy (RIG).
