What is Nexium? Nexium is a brand name for the proton-pump inhibitor drug esomeprazole, thought to have superior treatment, healing, and cure of acid heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux. Esomeprazole is the enantiomer of omeprazole, used in Losec / Prilosec.
