Advocate CURE FOR HIV/AIDS by PatrickONeillPhD: Through genetic engineering, the combination of some blood from an AIDS patient with that of an SIV-infected primate should yield t-cells that contain antigens to prevent and/or cure HIV/AIDS. Much interest has been expressed in parts of SIV, as they have not evolved in humans and are prone to immune responses against HIV/AIDS. Such product needs to be available on the open market. Email

Hello,

Please forward this to any you may think would be interested.

My name is Yvonne Daley and I am a master’s level student in clinical psychology at Eastern Washington University. For my thesis I decided I really wanted to do something that would contribute to our understanding of HIV/AIDS. In the early 1990’s I lived in a neighborhood that was highly impacted by HIV/AIDS. As I watched, nine different friends and neighbors died of AIDS. My project is dedicated to them.

Today I have the opportunity to research further means to intervene and slow the spread of HIV/AIDS. Your participation in my project will provide information that will widen our knowledge base for those who are living with HIV.

Please forward this to any you may think would be interested.

Thank you so much!

Public Health I am an HIV counselor with the Health Department. My job is to locate individuals that are high risk for HIV. The next step is to provide testing for these individuals. Being a public entity it is difficult to identify these individuals. A few walk thru the door but I feel outreach is very important. Where to start? Email

activist I'm a tutor of communication, software applications, life skills and desktop publishing. Recently one of my trainees confided that she was HIV positive. Considering that I had several close friends who died from the virus, two who I saw personall y up to the week leading up to their death, we decided to embark on a DTP project to globall make the average person that patients too need family (spouse/children), friends, co-workers, et al and that they should not be discriminated against. It's still taboo here in Trinidad and I guess the rest of the Caribbean as well. Email

sister Hi there. I just found out yesterday that my brother is HIV positive. I'm really just trying to find out how to help him. Don't have any experience with this. If anybody would like to send me pointers, I sure would appreciate it. I love my brother so much. I cannot lose him, not now. When I have more to share, I will do so. Please, help if you can! Email
