Advice/Tips
Panic Attacks should not be confused with Anxiety Attacks. Panic attacks, often mistaken as a heart attack, are acute and cause physical complications when untreated. For me, my first panic attack landed me in the hospital. Subsequent attacks were controlled with Xanax 4mg P.O., as ordered via physician. (NOTE: NEVER EXCEED DOSAGE WITHOUT MEDICAL COSULT). Acute panic attacks can persist when not treated. For me, my HR when resting raced 130-150bpm in the ER. Secondary and more severe indications of panic attacks are rashes and periphal numbness, such have occured less than ten times. Medical consult explained physical symptoms are caused by prolonged hyperventaltion, which deprives the body of O2 and increases CO2. Excessive CO2 was said to catalyze hives/rashes.

Advice/Tips
I have to take a half tablet. I put it under my tongue. A whole pill makes me very sleepy.
