About Me
I am a college professor and was diagnosed with PD about three years ago. Like most people who get this diagnosis, I was more than a little shocked. My initial symptom was a tremor on my right hand (I'm an artist, but so far it has not been a problem -- believe it or not). Looking at me, you'd never know I have it, except for when the Mirapex stops working and my hand starts to shimmy a little. I do have some slowness, but I can play it off. I am 56 years old and have a great family, a great job, and an active art career. My memory stinks, and I'm not sure it's age or PD. Isn't it too early?
